1.steel company details

The steel plant produces 3.4 million tons of steel annually, but it is currently unable to produce at full capacity. The slab workshop has 4 electric furnaces, 4 refining LF furnaces, and 3 2-machine 2-stream slab continuous casting machines. 200-ton ladle and 25-ton tundish. The ladle temperature is about 1575℃, and the tundish temperature is about 1530℃. The general size of the ingot is 175mm*915mm~1265mm. The common casting speed is 0.8~1.25m/min. The pouring time of a single furnace is 50~70min. The tundish is required to be used for more than 18 hours, and 2~3 long nozzles are used for one casting, and 2~3 submerged nozzles are used for a single stream. 2.OPERATION CONDITION

The diameter of the shroud ring is 160mm, and our product is also 160mm. The shroud ring needs to be stretched a little on site to be installed smoothly. The shroud is cleaned by burning oxygen when replacing the ladle, and is placed under the liquid surface of the tundish to prevent cooling (Figure 1). When the shroud is not installed vertically, it can be corrected in time. The lower end of the second branch of the shroud is immersed in the inside of the tundish to start pouring. Brush the diluted chrome corundum fire clay on the rod head and the upper shroud bowl to prevent the rod head and the bowl from sticking together (Figure 2).

here is a scale for adjusting the slag line range of the submerged nozzle (Figure 3), which is generally adjusted 3 times. The replacement time of the submerged nozzle is 2-3 minutes. The first baking of the submerged nozzle does not block the hole and does not wrap the fiber cotton (Figure 4). The offline baking time of the submerged nozzle is about 1 hour for 50%. If the time is too short, there is a risk of cracking.

The submerged nozzle sometimes exceeds the slag line (Figure 5). There are also cases where the submerged nozzle is still used after being baked for too long, sometimes for more than ten hours (Figure 6: Baked for 15 hours, the submerged nozzle slag line is used for less than 4 hours).

4.the conclusion of the trial

In this test, HYRE products can meet the use of  Steel Plant. Through the measurement of the following products, the service life of the long nozzle is more than 8 hours, the submerged nozzle is more than 8 hours, and the plug rod nozzle can meet the service life of more than 18 hours.
