The Slide Gate Plate System is used to cast molten steel into tundish or ingots in a controlled manner. The Slide Gate Plates are placed outside the ladle and consist of two refractory plates – one fixed and another moving. The fixed plate is also called top plate and sliding plate is also called bottom plate.

The high performance slide plates manufactured by HYRE show the feature of lower percentage of carbon content, which will avoid the working surface of slide plates from being greatly roughened. So they are more suitable to both low-carbon and super-low-carbon steel grades. And also it provides much higher fired strength which will reduce the bores-enlarging as small as possible while sliding repeatedly.
